smm.org Website Migration & Redeisgn

The museum planned to upgrade the design and content management system behind smm,org (Drupal 7), but expedited these plans to stay relevant due to the sudden closure from COVID-19.

The approach taken for migrating from Drupal to Contentful was to “build the airplane while taking off”, as we started building a new addition to the website that featured more resources while everyone was at home during the pandemic.

Below are my designs that were made in Adobe XD and are now live on smm.org. Migration is still actively happening, and plans are already made for improvements of the designs you see here.

Museum Online Shopify Store

In 2019, I created the online store (utilizing Shopify) for the museum - the first permanent online store for the museum. That year, we held nearly a dozen pop-up store events throughout the community, including at a St. Paul Saint Game and the Minnesota Beer Dabbler.

In 2021, I worked with the staff in the museum’s gift shop, the Explore Store, to transition their in-store sales platform from Counterpoint to Shopify.

I currently manage the Shopify platform and the front end design for the online store.
